Making A Purchase
LEGAL DRINKING AGE
When you place an order for alcoholic drinks with us you are, in doing so, confirming that you are not under 18 years. This also applies if you are buying alcoholic drinks as a present, in which case the recipient must also be 18 years or over.

RESPONSIBLE DRINKING 
The UK Government advises that men should not regularly drink more than three to four units of alcohol a day and women not more than two to three. Consistently drinking four or more units a day for men and three or more units a day for women, carries progressive health risks. After an episode of heavy drinking it is advisable to refrain from drinking for 48 hours. In some situations like pregnancy, it's better to avoid drinking alcohol.

ORDERING 
To place an order with us, simply scroll through our departments and add any items you wish to buy into the shopping cart. When you have finished shopping, click on 'check-out' and you'll be asked to fill in a few details needed to complete your order. 

SUBSTITUTIONS
If there are any items out of stock we will substitute with an item of similar style and quality. If you do NOT want us to do this, and would like us to contact you regarding substitutions, please make a note of this in the delivery box and we will either phone or email you. 

VINTAGES
Vintages shown are correct to the best of our knowledge. Where we have shown two or more vintages (e.g. 2003-4), we will move to the latter vintage when stocks of the former have run out. Occasionally, high demand and low availability of particular wines can lead to unexpected further changes of vintage. If you require a specific vintage please make this clear when placing your order. If we are unable to supply it we will contact you.

STYLES
The style of the wines are described as:
1-9 for whites, where 1 is the driest and 9 the sweetest.
and
A-E for reds, where A is the lightest and E is the fullest.

CLOSURES
To the best of our knowledge all wine bottles have a cork closure, unless otherwise specified.

CASE SIZES
Wines, juices, ciders (75cl) and spirits are sent out in multiples of 12 bottles. 
You can mix the cases as you wish. Beers and ciders (33cl and 50cl) are sent as cases of one type, in 20's or 24's depending on the type. 

PRICES
The prices shown include VAT at 20%. 

The price of any product will be as quoted on our site from time to time, except in cases of obvious error.

Our site contains a large number of products and it is always possible that, despite our best efforts, some of the products listed on our site may be incorrectly priced. We will normally verify prices as part of our dispatch procedures so that, where a product's correct price is less than our stated price, we will charge the lower amount when dispatching the product to you. If a product's correct price is higher than the price stated on our site, we will normally, at our discretion, either contact you for instructions before dispatching the product, or reject your order and notify you of such rejection. 

We are under no obligation to provide the product to you at the incorrect (lower) price, even after we have sent you a dispatch confirmation, if the pricing error is obvious and unmistakeable and could have reasonably been recognised by you as a mis-pricing.

Shipping And Handling
DELIVERY
*Please note that we do not ask, nor do our drivers, for any extra payment at the time of delivery. If a driver asks for more money then please contact us immediately.*

The cost of delivery to GB mainland addresses (excluding Scottish Highlands) is £7.95 PER ORDER (not per case). 

For the Scottish Highlands (Mainland AB37, 38, 41-56, FK19-21, HS1-9, IV1-20, 25,27,30-31,36-37,41-49, 51, 55, 56, 63, KA27-28, KW 1-3 and 5-17, PA20-49 and 60-78, PH15-26, 30-44, and 49-50, ZE1-3) delivery will be charged at £15 for 1 case and £30 for 2 or 3 cases. For orders of 4 cases or more or if you would like clarification on how much delivery will cost to your postcode please contact us. The delivery charge may be taken after your initial payment has been processed.

For GB offshore islands, and Northern Ireland, delivery will be charged at £20 for 1 case and £40 for 2 cases. However Northern Ireland customers should contact us, as we may be able to arrange cheaper shipment. For orders of 3 cases or more please contact us for delivery costs. This charge may be taken after your initial payment has been processed.

Delivery is Monday to Friday 8:30-5:30, if you would like to receive your order outside these times or within a specified time slot please contact merchandise@viva.org.uk as a surcharge will apply.

FREE DELIVERY AND DISCOUNTS
Orders of 5 cases or more receive FREE delivery (excluding Scottish Highlands, offshore Islands and Northern Ireland). 
 

Delivery Schedule
Orders are normally delivered during the day, Monday to Friday. We are not able to specify the time of delivery, but you can request that the case be left with a neighbour or in another safe place if you are out. We cannot guarantee that the driver will carry out your instructions, but we will do our best to make them aware of them.

We aim to deliver within a week of receiving your order, usually within 4 working days, although delays are likely at Christmas. 

Tax Charges
The prices shown include VAT at 20%.

Credit Card Security
Payment
You can pay online. Payment will be taken automatically at the time the order is placed and we will advise you as soon as possible if your order will be delayed for any reason. 

Payments are processed through the Viva! Shop. We use the PayPal secure online payment system for donations and merchandise purchases. For more info, please read our Privacy Policy.

After you have placed your order, we'll send you an email confirming receipt of your order. You will receive a separate email confirming your online payment.

Guarantee
Please check your order on arrival and let us know as soon as possible if there is anything broken or missing. We will sort the problem out without fuss. 

If you have not received your order by the date you have been told to expect it or within 10 days, please let us know. Please be sure to order in plenty of time before Christmas as delays are expected at this time of year. 

Returns Policy
Your rights to return goods are protected under the EU Distance Selling Directive.

You are entitled to cancel your order and return the goods within 7 working days for a full refund, including the cost of delivery. Do this by contacting us by email or telephone and quoting the order number supplied to you. Your refund will be paid within 30 days. You are responsible for the cost and risk of loss or damage when returning the goods, so you should take out enough postal insurance to cover their value. This cancellation policy does not affect your rights when we are at fault - for example, if goods are faulty or misdescribed.

Any goods returned should be in saleable condition.

These terms apply to your order. We may change our terms and conditions at any time, so please do not assume that the same terms will apply in the future.

None of these terms affect your legal rights and these are not diminished in any way. If any term is held to be invalid under any applicable statute or rule of law, that term is automatically omitted from the terms to minimum extent necessary to comply with the law and without affecting the validity or enforceability of the remainder.

Indemnity
You agree to indemnify us against any claims, losses, liabilities, damages and expenses (including legal fees), arising out of your use of this site. 

Jurisdiction
The Contract will be governed by the laws of England and Wales and the parties to the Contract submit to the jurisdiction of the English Courts.
